8.8

How 8.8 can change your perception, overnight
What happens when that happens? An 8.8 magniture earthquakeThe earth rolls, and the building collapse from within, except the retrofitted sanctuaries like underground tunnels, below broken 1920’s street grid lights, where heels can get caught now, opening up the city to a business woman litigious-lascivious lawsuit in training, shopping around for the best fail safe no-fault of my own type ‘accident’ on a city street. But in the subway tunnels, ironically, in the belly of the beast as she rumbles, you are safe, because it is built to sway with our very land, our home, the earth that sustains us. If only we saw the atmosphere and the rivers, oceans and ponds the same way…
Last night, I asked God to take me, whenever, I was ready, I was done, it was more or less a good life and I just wasn’t that excited about anything to come, then Chile happened, an 8.8 earthquake, martial law, and I pray they are able to get back to as normal as possible as soon as possible, and realizing how short life is, and, therefore precious in its random acts of senseless tragedy as well as infinite beauty–it’s that 51% good to 48% bad 1% unknown–is why we keep on keeping on, that and the blossoming infinite possibility of love, an anchor, a crutch, nitrogen in the soil at the roots, air to a breath, water to a wave, light to the sun. How blessed we are to be here at all, and how we need to send healing out when we are well.
